Pelican:

I took this picture at my local beach.
It was a nice sunny day.
The Albatrosses were very quiet and it took a while for them to move around.
I used my Canon 50D on Sports mode shooting.
That means I took a burst of shots at very high speed.
I then piked the picture I liked most from those sequential shots.

I retouched it in Photoshop adding Vibrance and a Watermark.

If you like this picture please buy a print.
The quality it's amazing.
15 Million Pixels at 4752x3168 resolution.
If you want to use this image as a desktop background, you may do so.
But you may NOT steal or use any of my pictures for profit.
Thank You!

Pablo Schütz ;)

Is it just the format you have uploaded here, because around the edge of the bird it is very pixely. Otherwise, it is a GREAT perspective.

The image looks fine on my screen.
I cannot see any pixel errors around the edges.
Try reloading the page.

Still there. It's not very wide, but it is reminiscent of how around the text can look in a JPEG file. Here it is most noticeable at the tail and around the beak, though it acts as a faint but annoying border around the entire bird. Being able to see it is probably just the curse of my better than 20/20 vision.

Thank you for your comment.
Yes there is a thin line of pixelation around the bird.
I think it's because of the contrasting blue sky.
I'm using a SemiPro camera and a Pro lens.
If I was using a standard lens for that particular shot I believe much more chromatic aberration would be visible.
I've uploaded it as a JPEG.
The original is 15Megapixels and it looks good.
How would you have taken the shot?

Also I've noticed that every person has a different way of looking at things.
So once again, I do appreciate your comment.

Love your gallery by the way.

Salutes! ;)

I think the shot itself, the angle and the colors are perfect. The particular position on the bird is something I have found hard to achieve. So way to go!

Beautiful photo, I can't see any pixel errors...
The angle is great and the colour of the sky is lovely in contrast with the bird.
